The company, which competes with Equinix Inc (EQIX.O) and Switch and Data Facilities Co (SDXC.O), earned $6.8 million, or 6 cents a share, compared with $2.55 million, or 2 cents a share, a year ago.
Revenue rose 34.2 percent to $143.1 million.
Analysts were expecting earnings of 2 cents a share, before items, on revenue of $144.18 million, according to Reuters Estimates.
The company is also expanding in the cloud computing business.
"Two acquisitions and the cloud strategy launch late last year added significantly to our product and services set," said Lanham Napier, president and chief executive officer, in a statement.
Shares of the San Antonio, Texas-based company closed up 2.25 percent at $4.50 Thursday on Nasdaq.
